$3000 is a good price for that tractor. Here in Tenn. they usually go for at least that with just the cultivators. Of course the are highly sought after here for cultivating tobacco. I think you should be able to get tires for around $400. Go to your local farmers Co-Op. I got new rear tires installed for my MD with new tubes for $660. These are 6 ply 13.6 X 38, about twice the tire on the super A. Of course you will have to pay more if they come to your place to put the tires on. I took the rims to them. Also that was without solution in the tires. For the Super A, if you are going to work it, you need the solution. The extra weight low down will help the stability. Be careful with that thing, growing up, we had several Farmalls, and the only one that ever turned over was the Super A. Most of them have the wheels set in to minimum for cultivating. If you are not going to cultivate with it, you should set the wheels out some while you are in the process of getting new tires. Also the heavy cast rear wheel goes on the right side to help balance the offset. Make sure it is on that side and that it stays there.
