Andy: Thanks for the help. I managed to get the two halves about 10" apart by sliding them on wood blocking. It's too precarious to go much further without a hoist or jack. I'm going to borrow a floor jack and try sliding the rear back...it seems more manageable to move than the front. I know what you mean about the steering. Already the front has misaligned about a half-inch to the left as I separated it. Thanks again.
