I know someone who found a niche selling (reselling) a GM part readily available from any GM parts department. He ran onto it by accident and noticed when he was looking for one that the local parts guy would sell him this part for about $25 each individually boxed, yet they were not available on ebay, and aftermarket parts that were similar were priced up toward $100 each. He started buying in 20 -25 piece lots, listing on ebay for about $50 each plus shipping, and was selling an average of two per day. Not bad considering he was 16 at the time. All he had to do was print shipping labels, and take them to the post office as they were already boxed ready to ship. Soon someone he sold one to posted feedback advising others, and soon others caught on to his scheme, and went into competition and started selling them for about $30 each which pretty well took all the profit out of bothering with them. Funny how people will assume ebay prices are better than a GM dealer (in that case) on new parts. Not always the case.
