Red, I'm having the same problem with my "A". Could you make a recommendation for it? I don't know anything about plugs. Just went to NAPA and asked for the latest substitution for the plug specified in the user's manual which as I recall was something like B-18. I forget what the new plug was (Champion) but it was something like 549 or some variation on those numbers (my tractor is 100 miles away at the moment).
