Ball Bearing Mains and Crankshafts

Some years ago I bought an IHC power unit off an old fellow who'd worked at an IHC dealership in Arthur, IL for many many years. Eddie Trummel was his name. We talked about the mains and crankshaft found in the 10-20s, 15-30s, Regulars, F-20s, etc, etc. Eddie said that IHC, knowing how revolutionary the design was at the time, offered a lifetime guarantee on the crankshafts in these tractors., saying they would not fail. Can anyone verify this? Sadly, Mr. Trummel died several years ago, and a wealth of knowledge went with him.
