leak at final drive

My 140 drips fluid down at the bottom of the final drive housings. This is below where the fast-hitch bars mount on each side. Is this a difficult fix? Someone told me there are no gaskets here, just a machined fit. THis area is really out in the open and would be subject to a lot of possible damage by going over rocks and stumps and everything. I'm afraid I got some damage to the parts on the bottom if that is the case. How does it come off..? A couple of bolts maybe? Is it a stamped bowl to contain lube.? thanks ya'll Gorki
