Here is the update on the wiring for the late model IH-140 with factory alternator. I hand sketched this up and then scanned it, so I hope it can be read. This shows the head lights, turn signal, flasher, tail light and work light connections for IH 140 tractors SN 62472 and up as I figured it out on my tractor. This is 140 tractors with the Factory alternator. I changed the terminal connections from the way I found them because on the light switch terminals B and E are connected when the switch is in the off position. This means that in the original hookup I found that a separate switch would be needed to turn off the work light, so that the off was not really off. So I changed the power in from terminal E to A and the headlights from A to E. Also the new switch I got Terminal D and F are connected in positions 2, 3 and 4 on the switch which means there is not a position except off on the switch where the flashers are not on. So I added a toggle switch so that the flashers could be turned off when other lights are on if desired. HOpe this helps some folks.
