T-Bone, That's the problem I'm having. I didn't remove the washer that held the old seal in. I just pushed the new seal in there and worked it around. I'm hoping that it will in time seat itself a little more and lessen the friction on the throttle shaft. Here's another situation I've noticed. Being a virgin to these tractors I'm not sure what's suppose to be correct. In the pic below, I have have a good bit of play and looseness in the governor control rod spring that's ahead of the swivel. It appears when I apply throttle in the first 1/4 of the quadrant, the speed lever on the governor doesn't move until that spring, that's ahead of the swivel, tightens up against the swivel causing the governor lever to move. Any more thoughts? Thanks once again. Tyman
