You're aware of the IHC GAS CAP Lawsuit aren't you? ALL new replacement caps are of the 3 baffle design with a safety catch that makes them almost impossible to put on & take off. Every one I've seen is black. If You get your ser. # & bring your old cap into your dealership they would GIVE you a new cap. This lawsuit was started way back in the late '70's buy a farmer gassing up a hot 756 gas while smoking a cigarette. Pressure built up in the tank due to a plugged vent & when he pulled the cap off the tank raw gas & vapors exploded in his face. Cost Harvester LOTS of $$$$$. I never actually heard if the farmer died or not. Everyone at the plant that was involved was very quiet about the whole thing. Several people I worked with had to testify in the trial. There was a thread couple weeks ago that C/IH still offers this free exchange. With all the old iron coming out of the scrap piles It's important!
