My last run in the big truck put me out in Neb. and i was suppose to go on up into Wyo. Well since i am and old trucker i grabbed my trusty Atlas and plotted a new course and off i went . Now like you traveling the back roads and back country i did a lot of sight seeing , and i came into this little town, don't remember the name but there appeared to be and old closed up I H dealer with tons of tractors just setting there . There were H 's and M's 300's and 400 couple 350's and some 450's 460's 560's and some 06's . And i had the wrong trailer and no check book . What was needed was about 6-7 53 foot step decks and a BIG check book. all the tractor looked decent as far as looks go Now how bad the innerds Were your guess is as good as mine . In order to make out you would haave to be able to buy wright and you would have to have a 53 foot trailer and get as many on as you could at today's prices in trucking even IF you owned your own truck. as you would have real close to three grand in fuel on the round trip getting them back here and doing it by the book it is a full two day ride BY the book one way . Then a full day of loading and getting everything tied down. That thought has been kicking around in the bottom of the bucket list of things to do. And yes i can not kick the idea of buying another Large Car. Like either a 77-79 4300 I H with somewhere around 240-260 inch wheel base with a big cam 855 a 13 speed and 3.78 or 3.90 gears ON AIR RIDE this time .

Today's Featured Article - The 8N and the Fox - by Zane Sherman. Dec. 13 1998, Renfroe, Alabama. Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
