On my diesel, it used to cutout due to trash in the saddle tank starving the engine for fuel. The design of the tank permits water to accumulate causing rust near where the fuel line is located coming from the tank. Take the fuel line loose at the fuel filter and blow back into the tank and see if the situation improves. This is only a temporary fix as the line will clog again.
