Yes, this is a sad day indeed, and I about wanted to cry when heard NH bought CAIH. However, has this been inevitable to prevent because of the past record, possibly foolishness, of those in control of Case? What I am getting to is this. "Someone" (heard this from our dealer) forgot to renew the patents on the Cub Cadet garden tractor and that is when MTD (I believe it was) took them over. Wouldn't you think that a company would protect their investment of years? To me, thats almost like giving up on a marriage you have been in for years, how unthinkable. Its almost like they felt like they were invincable. Yes, I am sad indeed. However, enough crying and negative. The day may come when it will be up to us collectors to carry on the Farmall name and those who farm with them, like what has happened to other brands. That means more than anything, those of you who are older/more experienced (than I..24) need/ought to share not only your knowledge but your experience with us younger people. Hey, we all aren't this no good, no morals, "brand X" that society has labeled us. I have seen this happen in other brand (no one knows the historyof the company and has no experience) of tractors and we can't let it happen to good ole Red. Just expressing my opinion and hopefully didn't offend anyone. Take care and let keep this wonderful history living.
