I don't know which is best today with modern gear lube, but, an "Old Timer" told me that when he was a boy his dad farmed with an F 20. In the winter the gear lube got so thick they could barely turn the hand crank, so his job was to get on the tractor and hold the clutch in so his Dad could crank it. Don't know if he was pulling my leg or not.
