The serial number on my W-9 is 39751 indicating that it is a 1949. From all that I have read, the Deering name was dropped in 46 or 47. My tractor appears to be all original in that all of the paint is gone and surface rust is extensive, yet a McCormick - Deering label is still evident as well as a McCormick - Deering emblem on the front. I have also met an owner of a 1948 OS-4 who is the grandson of the original owner with McCormick - Deering labeling. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Also, my engine number is 25952. Should this number match the serial number of the tractor? Thanks, Kirk
