A few days back i had some farmall a governor questions. I got down to the shop to tinker with it a little. Issues are i suspect im not getting full rpm and the first half to 3/4 throttle range is no responsive. Previous owner had a spring between carb flange bolt and governor arm pulling tension on it but it would always idle high however did turn more rpm. I removed that spring knowing it is not suposed to be there and am now looking to solve the problem correctly. Tried adjusting the rod between carb and governor arm as suggested. With tractor off i removed the linkage, moved the throttle to wide open position the adjusted the linkage so the carb is in the wide open position and the pin slipped through the yoke easily to re attach the rod to governor arm. Only took a half of turn and nothing changed. Just checking if i did this right and what do i look for next?
