Your the first person that I've heard that didn't like thier 1066. Sounds like you bought a tractor that has in rough shape. Everyone else that I've talked to loves thier 1066 and would run it to the ground before they got rid of it. OUr 1066 has 5500 hours on it, 3500 when we bought it. Engine is strong (had 160 hp when we bought it, turned it down to 140 hp) and doesn't use any oil. We've never had to replace the TA (never put one in our 806 and its got over 10,000 hours on it), even though it gets used quite a bit for plowing and chisel plowing, and have yet to put a clutch in it. The rearend and bull gears are rock solid. We love our 1066, and would never sell it. Sounds like you bought a lemon and should have shopped around and looked at it better before you bought it.
