When I took my oil pan off it had a big and I mean big chunk of old timing gear in it. Someone had replaced a gear that had fragged and not takin the pan off. It looks to have a shinny new timeing gear on it so I'm pretty sure thats where it came from. Might be something like that on yours.It's not a magnet is it? I have seen them in some transmission pans.
