In removing the decals it is really quite easy.. I work in a body shop and we use a tool thats works great and DOES NOT leave any scratchs or affect the paint in any way.. I see that you will be repainting anyway but the less you damage the surface the less work you will need to do in the long run.. This tool will cost you about 6-8 dollars and all you have to do is find a parts store that sells 3M products.. The 3M part # is 05701 and you can put this in a drill that turns around 4000 rpm and it will take your decals right off for you.. If you have any questions just e-mail me and I will help you out..
