Remember the throttle controlls the governor not the carburetor. The governor in turn controlls the carburetr. If you have speed controll problems check the linkage between the governor and the carburetor. It might be sticking or out of adjustment. The magnito has an "impulse" device in it that allows your engine to start at low RPMs.If it's not working the engine might not start on the starter but would start ok at higher RPMs when being pulled. My BN started and ran ok when I got it but I did a tune up anyway. New pluggs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, points and condenser. It starts and runs much better now. I may have spent some money that I realy didn't need to, but I have never regretted it! Good Luck. Dave BN
