Your picture looks great. Did the same thing on a 54 SMTA, as far as brackets. It had a flat spot on the front of the upper thermostat housing so I drilled and tapped it for 5/16 and used the original adjuster bracket. For some reason I had to use a 35 inch belt on it but then the original on the SMTA was 34. Definitely makes a difference with 12 volts.
