A gasser with 300,000 miles that still runs good without excessive oil consumption is rather common. b.t.w how much lead is there in diesel or LP fuel ? Prior to the mid 1980's a gasser was a gasping oil burning clunk it it even made it to 100,000 miles? Machine shops that used to rebuild worn out vehicle gasoline engines have very little business in that area any more. Why? Lead has been removed from the gasoline and engines are computer controlled.
