Then increase the throttle setting until the mower starts to make funny noises (hammer, bang, rattle). Then back off on the throttle till it quiets down. That is your best setting. When you get in real heavy hay or grass give her a little bit of throttle to compensate for the heavy load. Good Luck Merle
