David,
The Hiniker cab was made in Mankato MN, and I have the 1200 (maybe 1300??) series cab on my Ford 9000. With the correct mounting to the rear axle and the front lower brackets that attach to the bell housing casting, this cab is one of the most structural cabs ever made. I bought my cab from a tractor parts yard, and my son bought another one for his 8000 Ford. There is no need for the external roll bar that the factory Ford used. The factory Ford cab was a piece of crap, and an early Cozy cab I had on the 8000 was also just a pile of tin that would probably collapse and trap you inside if a roll over occurred. The Hiniker was highly tested and certified to Govt standards. I think my son bought the recent one from a wrecking yard for about $150.
The same series Hiniker cab was used on many different brands of tractors, with just a few differences in the lower front windows, and the mounting brackets. I have seen many of them on IH tractors of the 1970's.
