Gator9n........you do know it takes a VACUUM to suck gas from the carb up into the cylinders, don't you???
There are many causes of lost vacuum......stuck piston rings......but more likely stuck valves from engine not being run fer while. You doubt??? take yer valve covers off behind yer carb and watch fer uppsies'n'downsies when you turn yer engine over with starter motor and SPARKIES OUT.
It should be intuitively obvious when valves don't go uppsies'n'downsies. And there are MANY products that you can "spray" into the valve chests and dissolve the varnish that is causing the sticking. Simple, eh? .......Dell
