Well,I got the corn stalks baled and FINALLY got all the calves caught and weaned. That was a major project! We started last Friday, caught 25 that day. Worked all weekend, finally got the last of'em after sundown Tuesday. They're about a month older than usual,a month smarter too. It's so darned muddy all we could do was bait and wait. No point even trying to drive them,I couldn't move fast enough and the 4 wheeler wouldn't make it through most of it. Sorted off the cull cows and sold them Monday. Been hauling manure that should have been hauled this spring, but the mud around the pile makes that about impossible too. The ground freeze dried some over night, but we've got high winds and snow showers, hard to get motivated to go out there in it,but I guess I'd better try. That's about the last project of the year. Sure been a long one. Never had such a year where I've been behind the whole year and just couldn't catch up. Combination of weather and age I guess.
