J T, My experience are with 18v dewalt lithium Ion, Ni-cd and NI-MH are: 1. You can't give me a Ni-cd. 2. Li-ion are over priced, better than Ni-cd, lighter, go dead without warning, and only hold half the charge of Ni-Mh. 3. You may check this out to make sure I'm right, Ni-Mh batteries are used hybrid cars. You can go to ebay and get a 18v Ni-Mh for $45+$10 shipping. The battery is a 3 amp-hour. Can't find any made by dewalt. These batteries come from china, however dewalt and delta products are also made in china. I've owned Ni-Mh longer than I've had Li-ion. Will only buy Ni-Mh batteries in the future. My Li-ions lasted 2x-3x longer than Ni-cd. The Ni-Mh is like the everyready bunny...keeps going and going and charges up to a full charge.
