You have your story a little skewed, I have read the full report and no persons remains were put into a land fill! The cremated remains that were disposed of in a land fill were in fact unidentifiable bits and pieces of human bodies picked up at IED sites.Full identifiable bodies are and have been returned to their families. This is a hystery generating bit of reporting, not the full story. So you will say,why not DNA hunt? This is after the fact,I suspect no DNA is or has been identified from the individuals buried where ever they are. Gruesome yes but a fact according to conventenal reporting. In 1945 my cousins remains were sent home from Iwo Jima reportately in a body bag inside a wood casket. The casket was sealed and was not opened and was buried in a National Cemetery close to his home.We are comfortable with the US Militaries explanations. He was returned home about 3 weeks after his reported death from gun shot wounds suffered July 19th,1945 on the assaulted beach of Iwo Jima.
