Well only a couple hrs left till the new year i took some pics around the farm to day. Milking herd heading back to the dairy. Corn out in tassel think we will be chopping it for silage around the end of the January. Hasn't been the best growing season due to the cool temperatures we have had this year but for once we have had plenty of moisture. Just got our 3rd cutting off the alfalfa baled up after Christmas and have started watering it. should still have time to get another two cuttings of it before winter. Most evening sees me mixing the silage ration for the cows. Our normal mixer tractor is in the shop getting a full engine rebuild after the top came of a piston at full revs and some how didnt put a conrod through the block. With everything back in the shed and the cows heading of to the silage for the night we sit back and look at what a year its been as the sun sets for the final time in 2011 and wounder what 2012 will be like. My geuss is that cows are still gunna need milking and feeding in the morn. Happy New Year Everyone and hope 2012 is every thing you wont it to be.
