Don,
I have a 1973 Ford 2000, 3 cylinder gas. I use it for everything that I do - cut, rake, bale, and haul about 2500 square bales of hay every year; bushhog about 50 acres of pasture a couple of times each year; mow about 5 acres of "lawn" with a 6 foot finishing mower; scrape my 1/3 mile driveway after every hard rain; haul hay to the pasture to feed my cows every day in the winter; drag my pastures with a spike toothed harrow to break up and distribute the cow manure; lift telephone pole fence posts high enough to set them into the holes; auger post holes with a 3-point post hole digger; plow, disk and drag my garden; etc.
Unless you have a really big operation, your little 2000 should serve you well.
