Last fall I was trying to get a head start on my garden spring tilling by tilling in the fall, but didnt get far.across the front of the tiller is a 2"x2" O.D.tube which split completely in half about 2" to the right of the left side 3pt lift pin I just give it up and put it in the fix it when I can row of projects. Well with this fantastic weather we are forced to endure (LOL) I went out to ponder the best way to fix it.Took me all of 2 minutes to see how simple it would be to fix. Each end of the 2 X 2stock is weld to the end plates, I was thinking if i cut the end end open to the size of the inside demension of the tube stock then slide a solid 1 3/4"X 1 #/4" square stock full lengththrough it and have about 1/2" stick out each end of the end plate , then weld it on the outside plus where the split is it should never break again .I dont think 1 3/4" X 1 3/4" is a common size expect in possibly pto shaft . any ideas where to find a square shaft this size. Thanks for any help you offer. Glenn
