It actually varies a lot from one mfg manual to another. Some of IH manuals are very barebones and others are really good. For instance, the manuals on the injection pumps are really good and some on the gasoline engines have very little. Now, take a Case manual. It will show you exactly how to take things apart and put them together but tells you nothing about how anything works. You need the training manuals they have to get that information. IH would tell you how things work and not how to take it apart. The I T manuals often have little hints and information that mfg manuals does not have and then tells you nothing about how it functions. In other words, you need to look at one and decide if that is what you need or not.
