Here are a few pictures from around the acreage I'm managing or at least trying to for wildlife, primarily rabbits and deer. The entire field is around 15-20 acres. The "field roads" will be firebreaks and planted in the off years of burning. I hope to plant the bigger field to native WSG. DNR recommended autumn olive 20 years ago. Big mistake. It's great if you can keep it where you want it, but you can't. Everything eats the berries and passes them all fertilized. Constant battle. Corn patch was wheat/clover/winter pea mix last year. Lots of timothy just starting to flower. Looks cool at first light but not much good for wildlife except as bedding areas.
