Don't have a CCP but often think about it. My real reason to do it is to have the permit. It seems that once you have a license/permit/etc. for something it is more difficult to have that taken away later. In other words, my naive thinking leads me to someday down the road where the lawmakers manage to try to get the whole CCP thing revoked, they may just stop giving any further permits but those that have them may be grandfathered. Again, my naive thoughts, based on absolutely nothing other than what I see sometimes in the professional arena with professional licenses (engineers, architects, etc..) and their regulations that keep changing.
