Hello LLOYD MacLEOD, You are experiencing all the symptoms of air entering the suction side of the fuel system.Take the fittings off at the tank and the pump. Pressurise the line with air, and with bubble soap you may find the leak. Check both side of the fittings for a good fit. If you don't fine any leak, the next step is the tank pipe. Hook up the fuel line to the pump and put the other end below the fuel in the tank. I think you will find the leak without going any further . Guido.
