Dad had a Harmon wood stove for years and really liked it. I got too busy with my job and family that I didn't always have the time to help him and Mom handle their wood. Dad gave me the stove and put in a new Harmon pellet stove, he liked that even more. 3 years ago I put in an England pellet stove and that's been my primary heat source although I have a fuel oil boiler in backup duty if needed. I don't know how well one of those "baskets" would work unless the stove is a forced draft. I know pellets will pretty much just sit there and smoke if they don't have a decent draft. I really like spending $1,000 a year on pellets as opposed to $4,000 a year on fuel oil. Of course I have a trailer to haul 2 pallets at a time and a place to store them and for $3,000 in savings, I have the little bit of time each day to "tend the fire".
