Myself i have had husky shepards and one husky great dane mix and the one i have now Louie as we call him is a great dog , got him from the humane shelter as he was 9 mo. old and his owner was called to active duty , He sorta adopted me and i just took him home one day and figured that the old dog we had would not let him in the house . I was wrong they hit it off and the two were best of buddy's Bandit taught louie all the tricks . Louie is the second biggest dog and weighs in at 126 lbs . And you do not come thru the door unless i say , then your good but if not your ground beef. Rocky was the husky Dane mix , NOW that was a BIG dog and at 34 inches at his shoulder and weighed in at 157 lbs and when he stood on his back legs he would but his paws on my shoulders and LOOK DOWN and i stand six foot . He was super great with kids loved all our friends BUT if he did not know you you were NOT coming in the house . And at night if something went bump he was up and down the steps with a meanness i n his barking and growling and when he hit the door the house shook. Myself i will stick with the Husky Shepard mix.
