According to the serial numbers page on this site there were fewer than 1300 produced in 54, so they must have gotten started late in the year, I think most of that year they were making the Stage 2 Super H. In 56 they transitioned to making the 350. The majority of 300s were produced in 55, including mine. Zach

Today's Featured Article - Oliver 550 Purchaser Checklist - by Greg Sheppard. Pound for pound the 550 is better than anything I've seen.
