OK, we have had discussons of ground hogs and rats today as well as wild life in general...
We have developed a pigeon problem in the barn. Old barn (35ftX60ft) with 5 stalls, tack room, middle aisle, and loft above the stalls.
10 years ago can't say I ever saw a pigeon when we moved here. Have always fed pelleted feed as some have said the grains will attract them. Notice a few last year, but did not seem objectionable. This year we are overrun. When I open the door in the morning it is like the hoards of flying monkeys taking in the Wizard of Oz. Making a real mess with all the crap.
Anybody had any success with any of the cheap solutions like hanging pie plates, owl statues, etc.? How about the Ultra-Sonic devices. If I need to invest in a pellet gun, does anybody have any recommendations. Need enough to knock em down, but don't really want to be blowing holes through the metal siding and roof.
