The conversion engine for the Farmall was a 3 cyl. diesel kit called the 6M,have one sitting in my shop.Sheppard was a little embarrassed of their hp.,hence none were ever Nebraska tested.They were still learning about how to make diesels perform back in those days,Sheppard thought it was by using very high compression ratios (22.1)and low squirt gun injection pressures.We now know that doesn't work. One of the other things that killed Sheppards were,there was no dealer floor plan.All tractors were paid in full before they left they left the factory,plus they were pricey.Made it hard to compete with big boys in the 50's.
