I do not sell additive or pumps. The driver fails due to the high current needed to move the control plunger due to wear in its bore. You can tell if the control plunger is worn by comparing the fuel delivery rate to the pump closure time. Low delivery reading with a high closure time means the plunger is worn and a PMD will be a temporary repair. As I said, replacing the PMD is a temporary solution and you will need to buy two, one for the engine and one for the glove box. The Stanadyne rotary pump does require Stanadyne fuel additive, there is a GM bulletin that states this very fact. It comes in small bottles and is not all that expensive. That pump was designed when diesel fuel had a lot of lubricity, which it does not now. I was a dealer tech during the era of these engines and know what it takes to make the repair last and the customer happy. Replacing the PMD only is a once a year affair. Relocate kits are not a good idea either, the long harness affects response time of the plunger.
