Got to thinking. When stopping, lots of kinetic energy is converted in to heat. Rotors get very hot and the harder the brake pad, the longer the pad lasts, but there is more wear on the rotor. So, it's a toss up. Get less agressive lifetime pads or get cermanic pads that won't make a mess on your mags and replace rotors more often.
I go with the less agressive lifetime pads. They take very little time to replace.
Secondly, unless you have regenerative brakes, like a prius, the sooner you get off the gas peddle and coast to slow down, the longer your brakes will last. You also get better milage. George
