A couple years ago Dad bought gas ands deisel from a different supplier, who only sold ethanol free gas. We had more trouble with that tank load of gas than we ever have with e10 blend. I had a 95 Olds acheiva that got better milage on E20 than it ever did on E10 or ethanol free. Tried it in my VW and it wasn't as fond of it, but it still ran just fine.
The manual for our JD 425 lawn tractor says it can run 10% 87 octane.
I'll run premium in my mixed gas, but that's only because it's only a gallon every now & then.
