Went hunting yesterday. Neighbors annually want to push their woods and mine. Usually the second weekend of muzzle season. So I tell them fine, but I get to stand on my place, should any come my way. They sent a couple of buddies to help me cover the area... Yup, a deer came out. First guy shoots, second guy shoots. Deer comes running toward me. Second guy had hit it. I anchored it. Had two spots on his head where they were about 3/4 to 7/8 inch in diameter - scabbed over, indicating that he"d shed them a few days ago. Kinda seems early to shed antlers - what you say?
