Not true. I saw many soldier get frost bite due to their feet sweating in Mickey Mouse boots over my career. They were actually a NAVY boot designed to keep a sailor's feet warm while standing watch. If worn where much walking is involved your feet sweat enough that the moisture in the boots plus the cold will give you frost bite! Now if you are not walking much or going to be on a tractor they would be hard to beat. They have not been a issue item for years in the Army. So if you want them and can find them you better get them. The Army is now issuing a real winter combat boot.
