I did that 30 yrs ago took a set of double 900X20 truck chains and took the center chain out used one link to heat and bend the two cross chains together. With such long cross chains they would fit 18.4X38's on a 4010 jd. Not the best of chains but better than not having any especially on ice!. Still have them.
