Unfortunately a friend is selling his W-3 Case back hoe due to a divorce. He wants 3500 for it. 7000 he has into it. Since he bought it he rebuilt engine (new crank, rings, bearings, etc) He has replaced pins and bushings here and there to reduce slop. Hoe bucket has new teeth and spare teeth. I'm a mechanic\fabricator so I can do future work to it myself. It has the bigger better diesel eng in it. He says fuel pump may need rebuilding due to white smoke when running, clear when under load. Needs a bit of welding here and there. It has a torque converter that shows reduced pressure since he bought it yearts ago. Says pump seal(s) may need replacing for pressure to come back up. He says it will not propell forward if trying to push excessively into pile of dirt. He has been meticulous in taking care of it, all new hyd hoses, etc. I would like to buy it but want to make sure I can get fuel pump, torque converter seals, pump, seals, etc for it. He says local case dealer can get parts still with a bit of investigating. My friend does not use internet so I thought I would see what parts are available through internet. Hoe comes with good rear tire chains, fuel tank\stand, manuals, etc. Any replys would be much appreciated! I have a B250 diesel tractor and hyd\gas woodsplitter so very familiar with diesels and hydraulics.
