Not sure where you priced the $13 dollar small steak at. If at the store, that was to high. If at a resteraunt, I wouldn't eat there again if it was that tuff a steak. On the hoof prices are high too. Beef cattle farmers are seeing good money on cattle right now. The number of cattle across the country is down. That is why consumers are seeing higher prices right now. Sorry about your bad experience on buying the bad half a few years back. Kinda got yourself to blame on that one. If it was the guys fault that you bought it from, fine but its still kinda your fault for dealing with someone like that. No need to be mad at anyone else on that one. Bottom line is the prices do reflect a shortage and the farmers are seeing a few extra dollars out of this one which don't happen alot. As far as I'm concerned, you can either pay a little extra for a good steak, or take your rant back to the soup bowl, because you clearly didn't research this one out.
