We have a ls u5020c 4x4.
Over 800 hrs on it now.
shuttle shift give me 16 forward and 16 reverse
gears about 16 mph top speed.
47 hp mitisbiti 4 cly deisel.
Runs at 2400 rpm for 540 pto speed tops out at
around 2800.
Which I think is to high for a deisel but its
holding up well.
Guy I know has a Montana tractor 2009 model
with over 4000 hrs on it now and he beats the
tar out it daily and never maintains it.
Its the same tractor as ours just a differnt
brand name which is way I bought this one.
Always starts even at minus 35 last winter
Sips fuel
Tore out the 4 wheel drive front hub this
spring. My fault doing things its not meant to
do (don't ask me what).
Dealer got every part shipped in the next day
I called him at 1 pm he had parts by 8 am the
next morning and thats up here in Canada
Parts came from U.S.A.
I use the loader on this tractor at least 3
times a week and as it takes about 4 hrs avg to
blow out the drive in the winter the cab is
nice and warm and has great visablity
Would I by another one one word reply YES
But I've heard horror stories on the tier 4
motors and thats on all makes not just LS
tractors.
I would recomend looking to see if you can find
a 2013 model pre tier 4 if you can.
You can't find a tractor thats comparable for
the price of the LS. A comparable Kubota new
would have been another $15,000
And LS makes tractors for other companys as
well McCormick being one of them. Heard that
New Holland and John deere as well but I
personally don't know.
Good luck on your search let us know what you
buy.

Today's Featured Article - The 8N and the Fox - by Zane Sherman. Dec. 13 1998, Renfroe, Alabama. Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
