they weren't your average Lincoln. THey were the joint effort with Jaguar when Ford bought Jag. Many common features between one of the Jag models and the LS. The last T-bird also shared alot of parts.
They were built in Wixom Michigan. That plant is gone and is now an RV dealer site.
a neat fact. They were probably the last "car" built here with a v8 and manual option.
since it may have some Foreign parts (Jag side) check out availability of some of the common parts (brakes struts ect) for location and pricing. ALso check for issues. for example if the transmission goes bad and it is a Jag (or European part) it may cost more to have it fixed than the car cost you.
I will say as an automotive supplier we have to supply service parts for Lincoln's and Caddy's longer than your average Ford/chevy.
