We had a 9n Ford when I was young then later they came out with the 2n then the 8n. I was always confused until I figured out they used the last digit of the year in which they were designed 9n(1939) 8n(1948) 2n(1942) war model basic 9n w/o starter & gen and mag rather than distributer. I can understand the Model A car and the Model B but I have never been able to figure out the Model T and why it wasn't Model A due to the fact it was the first Ford, Does anybody know why it was named Model T?
